Ashley SUEN

Postdoctoral Fellow

Ashley obtained her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her Ph.D. dissertation was in studying testis development and spermatogonial stem cell biology using single-cell sequencing approaches. During her Ph.D. study, she constructed the first single-cell open chromatin atlas of mouse testis during neonatal development and discovered spermatogonial stem cells exhibiting mesenchymal-like properties. After obtaining her Ph.D., she joined the Cheung lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow in August 2021. Currently, her research focuses on developing an in vitro drug screening platform by combining cell biology and data science. She is also responsible for the management of aging animal colonies in the lab.
