Assistant Scientific Officer(s)
The HKUST-Nan Fung Life Sciences Joint Laboratory is inviting highly motivated applicants to fill Assistant Scientific Officer positions to participate in cutting-edge research in the area of population-based genetics and development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics for aging.
The appointee(s) will be responsible in overseeing the administration of research programs, performing experiments (including animal surgery, biochemical assays, and histology), contributing to the writing of research proposals and grant reports, providing technical training to team members, as well as performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above in life science or a related field, and with a minimum of three years of experience working in a research setting. Extensive experience in animal husbandry is a must. Familiarity with high-throughout drug screening is highly desirable but training will be provided if needed. Technical writing experience is considered a great asset. The appointees are expected to work independently in a thriving team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable.
