Gary obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from South China Normal University in 2014. He had done an internship at BGI focusing on single-cell sequencing. Gary joined the Cheung lab in 2015 as a research assistant and is now pursuing a Ph.D. since 2017. He is interested in dissecting skeletal muscle using single-cell approaches, particularly on how muscle stem cells interact with their niche during tissue regeneration and aging.
